Sweet Baked Beans

Ingredients
2 Cans of Van Camp’s Pork & Beans; 15 oz Cans
1 Cup of C & H Brown Sugar
2 TBLS Hormel Real Bacon Bits
Directions
- Open cans and drain juice off of beans
- Measure brown sugar and real bacon bits into a dish for baking
- Add beans and mix together well
- Bake @ 350 degrees for 1 hour
- Instead of baking you can cook the beans in a microwave @ 1 to 2 minutes at a time; stir and then repeat 2 more times, cooking 1 minute each time (cover bowl with Glad Seal & Wrap, securing just two sides)
A great addition to this is liquid smoke to taste!
We’ve never tried liquid smoke. I’m not sure about the product.I had to look it up. I might try a product that says “Natural”. What brand do you use, Penny?
