For me “Made from Scratch” just plain, good food is priority. However, I’ve found that Presentation makes all the difference and can be done economically.
For Example:1. I purchase seasonal plates, napkins, cupcake papers, and platters from Dollar Tree, Dollar General, or Walmart.
2. Line a basket with a seasonal, attractive napkin to serve cookies or a variety of chips, instead of serving out of the bag.
3. Light candles; use seasonal flowers or holiday theme garland (I use tea lights in candles that have burned down and doesn’t light well any more)
4. I like my 3-Tier stands that I can change out plates, depending on color, season, and occasion
5. Keep it simple
Barbara is a blessed wife for over 53 years, walking alongside her husband, Randall A. Bach, in ministry of various types. Her life goal is to be "worthy of the call" as a follower of Christ, to meditate on the Word of God that she has purposed to memorize, and to effectively walk this journey, called life. Barbara is a singer/song writer, cook/baker, mother of one son, and grandma to Nova Isabella. Beginning at a young age Nova loved to bake with Grandma. Barbara's love to mentor others with "Made from Scratch!" skills began with Nova. Now retired from working outside the home, besides entertaining, one of Barbara's pastimes, while drinking espresso, is connecting with FRENZ around the globe. She uses Facebook to offer encouraging words and "Made from Scratch!" tips about how to serve good and simple foods with presentation style.
