Cheese Sauce

  • 1/3 of a 2lb Box of Velveeta

  • 4 TBLS of Butter

  • 4 TBLS of Flour

  • 2 Cups of Milk

  • Salt/Pepper/Cayenne Pepper


  • Melt 4 TBLS butter in a medium size sauce pan on medium-low heat
  • Mix in 4 TBLS of flour and bring to a bubble
  • Add 1/8 teaspoon salt/pepper/cayenne
  • Gradually add milk; stir and continue to add milk until flour/butter mixture is incorporated and is thickened
  • Turn heat to low and; add thin slices of the 1/3 of 2 lb box of Velveeta; continue stirring until cheese is all melted
  • Cover and store in refrigerator then use as desired
  • I use this sauce for green bean casserole: (see sides); on macaroni; as a dip with beans & salsa
